Storm Watch: Flooding in the Midwest
14 September 2009
With the summer storms come all sorts of elements that have to be dealt with. Thunderstorms have hit this area all year long and have left behind a wake of damage to homes and property. Today I have been carefully watching some of the storms in the Midwest because they are bringing with them some serious flooding to the area. The storms this season have cropped up a little faster than usual so it has been difficult at times to keep up with all the weather warnings and watches.
Today I am focusing on flooding in the region, but there is always the possibility of hail damage. The thunderstorm season has not quite ended and you can count on a few more big storms this season. There has been somewhat of a cooling trend with colder air moving south from Canada, but this is not necessarily good. If that cold air hits the warm/moist air of the Gulf of Mexico then this could cause serious hail damage. Lucky for you there are roofing contractors in the area that can really help. If you need to repair your roof, be sure to look up Evergreen Construction. They can help you with any of your roofing needs.
