Storm Watch: Storms across the nation
19 September 2009
A lot of people have been affected by the storms that have passed through the Southeast and Midwestern parts of the United States. Not only has the local governments there had to shut down major freeway systems there but there have been some deaths associated with these systems. The flooding here has been the worst that we have seen all year. There are other storm systems that have also affected the local population that do not include hail damage or storm damage. In the Southwestern U.S. there are storms of a different type.
Here people do not worry about hail damage because there are not the kind of storms that impact the Midwest and Southeast. Here, when a Low pressure and High pressure system collide they create a condition called “Santa Ana” winds. These winds are very forceful because of the local topography and create wind storms that are very dry. They can be incredibly dangerous. If a fire should start in this condition it can become catastrophic. Even so, these people could benefit from the roofing contractors from Evergreen Construction.
